IWC – our happy place!

Dear Members,

It is a great honour to be elected as the President of the International Women’s Club of Cape Town for the 2024 year. Thank you for entrusting me with the responsibility of leading this incredible Club. I took forward to another wonderful year in your company!

Our motto for the year is “IWC – our happy place!”. Our club is the place where we cherish friendship, share laughter, engage in learning, and create beautiful memories. It is a safe space in which we can share not only our hopes and dreams but also our sorrows.

Our members support each other through the good times and also when the going is tough. Life’s journey becomes more enriching and fulfilling when we share it with our friends and loved ones.

2024 is going to be an exciting year. It is a leap year and time for the Olympic Games again. We envisage that our Club will continue growing, perhaps exceeding 400 members, and anticipate creating additional interest groups during evenings and weekends, to accommodate the needs of working women and those seeking flexibility.

IWC is where we make friends, make memories and make a difference. Join us at our monthly General Meeting and group events as often as possible to take part in the fun and make the most of your membership. Please come forward if you would like to help us with our activities, lead a new group or host an ad hoc event. Keep in mind that the success of our Club hinges on the collective efforts of you, its members, as you play a crucial role in making things happen.

The philanthropic causes we support uplift those who are less fortunate and help to make the world a happier place – one act of kindness can often lead to more. In addition, giving back creates greater self-esteem, life satisfaction and sense of purpose. It’s a win-win!
